The Creeping Gardener – July 2019

Hello and welcome to our very first edition of ‘The Creeping Gardener’!! We look forward to keeping you updated on a monthly basis with all sorts of bits and pieces and everything happening at AHLG. From seasonal gardening advice to getting to know our team members, introducing some of our suppliers and a bit of humor along the way, we’ll try and make it well worth the read!
Well… after months of rain dancing, it has finally paid off, and hasn’t it been lovely!! Whilst our lawns and gardens may be a little soft under foot for a while, it was the much needed drink they craved and will see them thriving come spring. We’ve been busy throwing out high-potassium fertilisers to help improve and protect the plant against environmental stresses that come with winter.

We’ve had a very busy few months with taking on many new beautiful properties to maintain and our landscaping boys have been flat out too, working on some cracking little projects.
Bird In Hand Winery reached out and asked us to take care of their cellar door gardens and also the beautiful gardens surrounding the on-site residence. One of our experienced newcomers, Matt, has taken the job on with young Jakson, and boy have they made a difference already!! Be sure to swing by for a nice glass of shiraz and see our work for yourself!
Lastly, we’ve been lucky enough to take on 3 more highly experienced staff members this past couple of months too. Clint and Michael have joined our landscaping crew, and have many years of experience both in landscaping and also in the concreting game. Matthew has jumped on board our maintenance crew, and his huge amount of knowledge and experience in some very high-profile gardens is proving to be extremely handy already!!
Be sure to say g’day if you see us out and about!!
